Introduction:
In this recent project, we undertook the repair of the exterior areas around a swimming pool that were showing signs of wear to their tiled cladding. These areas, which frame the pool and enhance its aesthetics, had suffered from the effects of the weather, heavy use and the passage of time. Here’s how we carried out this renovation to restore its impeccable appearance and improve its durability.
Project description:
The exterior areas of the pool, which include tiled planters and borders, were showing various signs of deterioration. The tiles had become loose in places and the joints had deteriorated, affecting both the aesthetics and functionality of the space. The accumulation of moisture and wear and tear caused by foot traffic had accelerated this process.
Rehabilitation process:
- Initial diagnosis: Before starting the work, we carried out a complete assessment of all the affected areas. We detected detachments and cracks in the areas covered with gresite, mainly in the planters and the walls surrounding the swimming pool.
- Surface preparation: We proceeded to remove any damaged or loose pieces of tile and cleaned the surface to ensure proper adhesion of the new material. This step was essential to ensure that the repair would be durable and resistant.
- Replacement of the tiles: Using a specific adhesive for exteriors and wet areas, we laid the new pieces of gresite, ensuring perfect alignment with the rest of the cladding. This allowed us to maintain uniformity in the appearance of the space, respecting the original design.
- Grouting: Once the new pieces were in place, we applied a grouting mortar that is highly resistant to humidity and temperature changes, thus guaranteeing waterproofing and prolonging the useful life of the work carried out.
- Finishing and cleaning: After completing the grouting, we carried out a thorough cleaning to remove any residue and leave the area perfectly ready for use. The end result was a renovated space, with a clean and modern finish.
Results:
The area surrounding the pool regained its original functionality and aesthetic appearance. The repair of the gresite in the planters and other outdoor areas not only improved the overall appearance of the space, but also increased its resistance to daily wear and tear and constant exposure to water.
Conclusion:
Tresite repairs are not only necessary to maintain the aesthetics of outdoor pool areas, but are also key to ensuring their durability. If you notice that any of the areas surrounding your pool are starting to show signs of deterioration, it is important to act in time to prevent further damage and ensure that the space remains in perfect condition for enjoyment.
